The Consul General visits the Immigration Museum in Melbourne
On 17/7/2018, the Consul General in Victoria, Dr. Ziad Itani, visited the Immigration Museum in Melbourne where he met with the Director of the Museum, Mrs Rohini Kappadath, who accompanied him on a tour of the Museum to see what is available about the Lebanese immigrants.
The Consul General also visited the Immigration Discovery Center, to get acquainted of its role which includes information on early immigrants to Australia and the names of ship passengers, as well as the related information found in the Australian National Archives. He was also informed of the preparations and contacts the museum is undertaking with the organizing committee to host the Gibran Khalil Gibran exhibition in November 2018.
