A list of some of the first ancestors who migrated to Oceania encouraging their descendants to reclaim the Lebanese Nationality

The Consulate General of Lebanon in Melbourne is publishing a list that consists of 566 names of some of the first Lebanese ancestral emigrants who were granted the citizenship of the country they arrived to in the continent of Oceania. This list includes 353 names of Lebanese emigrants to Australia between 1849-1928, and 213 names of Lebanese emigrants to New Zealand between 1843-1950.

The Consulate General in Melbourne encourages the descendants of these emigrants to communicate with the consulate to help them register themselves in order to regain their Lebanese nationality and benefit from the provisions of law 41/2015.

Following is the list which includes names, person’s place and date of birth in Lebanon, the date of naturalisation in Australia and New Zealand, as well as the occupation and place of residence.
